This was inspired by a guy I saw on (guess) TV, a segment called "Good Lookin Club." I have no idea what it was about (makeovers?), but there was a dude with a mohawk and an elaborate tattoo on the side of his shaved skull. Kakkoi, ne? It reminded me of a story my friend told me, where he was accosted on the bullet train by a belligerent, probably drunk Japanese man. In the heat of the argument, the guy showed him his tattoo, glared, and said, in measured out English: "DO YOU KNOW??" --implying that he was a yakuza. I'm pretty sure the guy on TV was not a yakuza, but he still looked cool.
